How do I join?

bugungisi is invite-only. You need an invite code from a friend who is already a member. They send it to you from the app, as a link or a code. Enter the code when you create your account. If you made an account without one, sign in and enter it on the Invite only screen.

Is bugungisi on Android?

Yes. Get it on Google Play. On an iPhone, get it on the App Store. Either way, you need an invite code to join. One account works on both: sign in with the same email and password.

My invite code doesn’t work

Each code lets one person join, once. If the app says the code has already been used, someone joined with it first. If it says it can’t find the code, check the letters. A code also stops working if the person who made it deletes their account. Ask a friend who is a member to send you a code: in the app, they tap Invite a friend on the Companions tab. Your account is already made, so sign in and enter the new code on the Invite only screen.

Can I use a photo I took earlier?

No. Every postcard is made live, in the app. No photos from your gallery, no filters. Your profile photo is the one exception: you can choose it from your photos.

How do I block someone?

Open their passport, tap ⋯ at the top, then Block. You stop seeing each other’s postcards and comments, you can’t message each other or ask to connect, and if you were companions, that ends. They are not told. Your old messages stay, and in Chats they show under “A former member”. If you only want to stop being companions, choose Disconnect in the same menu instead.

To undo a block, open Settings (the gear at the top of your own passport), then Blocked accounts, and tap Unblock. Unblocking does not make you companions again.

How do I report something?

You can report a postcard, a comment, a profile or a chat message. For a postcard, a comment or a profile, tap its ⋯ and choose Report… from the menu. For a message, press and hold it in the chat. A real person reads every report. Anything that breaks the house rules is removed, and if your postcard is removed, the app tells you. The person you report is not told who reported them. Reporting does not block anyone.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password? We email you a code. Enter it, then choose a new password. Once it is saved, you are signed in on that phone, and every other device is signed out.

I signed up but never got the confirmation code

The sign-up email carries a code. Check your spam folder first. On the screen that asks for the code, tap Resend the code. Still nothing? Email us and we will sort it out.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Settings → Help, rules and account → Delete account, type DELETE, then tap Delete forever. It happens straight away and there is no undo. You can also delete a single postcard any time, from its ⋯.

If you can’t get into the app, email support@bugungisi.com from your account’s email address instead.
